Time to time a truck will come off the National Bridge and make the right hand turn to be on its way out of town but for one reason or another they come unstuck and tip over.
January 19 2023 was one of those days as a truck tipped over and ended up close to the old Central Hotel (now residences).
Heavy vehicles coming from the north or wanting to go north we’re unable to do so after the bridge was closed to heavy traffic and light vehicles were restricted to one lane.
Hopefully history won’t repeat itself anytime soon.
