Old Burchfield’s Building – August/September 2023

It has been many years since a vehicle was sold at this building, the beautiful building stands proudly between the crumbling former Community Centre and the historic Exchange Hotel.

The removal of its Holden signs revealed its original signage much like when the Helsby building was vacated and the Helsby signage was visible once again.

The red paint on the wording fared better on this side of the building than the left side.

Still beautiful but needs a touch up.

The glass is now covered up, but those pillars look beautiful.

The Garage Door is down and who knows how long it will be down for, it is unlikely it will be a car dealership again, but the town does have a big fascination with vehicles and a little museum would be interesting for End Street.

The red paint is faded from the name, a shame but hopefully somebody fixes it up in the future and.

The fuel pumps remain and remarkably in good condition considering the damage the building next door has taken over the years.

Remarkably the signage at the back is still intact, the grass is a little long but as said earlier the place looks better than next door.
