A couple of busy weeks delayed the posting of this, but we hope that you will enjoy it.
There was a time where Deniliquin residents could get some KFC locally instead of going to Echuca to get the finger licking (hopefully) good stuff.
The 2010’s ended those days of getting it local and the building would be used for other purposes, the drive-in sign remained, the roses still flourished, the Colonel remained on the windows and the poles that held up the KFC stand like Deniliquin’s version of Twin Towers.
A petrol station was on the cards for the ex-KFC site and when these photos were taken, the site was all fenced off ready for its new life, the outdoor area doesn’t have much more life in it as collapse is well underway.
Some locals still hope for KFC to return somewhere, anything is possible, but it takes a whole lot of money and then good patronage to happen.
