Deniliquin Skate Park – February 2024

Deniliquin Skate Park was closed to the public on February 5, 2024, to allow for the demolition of the park and the start of the build of a new one.

The Skate Park was approximately 26 metres long and 35 metres wide when counting just the equipment.

Improvements were planned from mid 2022, concepts drawn up in September 2022, Funding was awarded in March 2023 and now demolition in February 2024.

Memorials in the Skate Park will be carefully removed and will be placed in the new Skate Park.

Edward River Council said on February 1, 2024, that ‘The area will be revitalised and will offer a vibrant and enjoyable public space for youth. The skatepark precinct’s new design aims to reflect the natural landscape setting of the living lagoons ecosystem.

Hopefully the new Skate Park will have shaded and comfortable seating and nice trees for people to have a rest under especially in hot conditions.
